Park 151 Wins an IIDA NE Design Award!

Park 151 at Cambridge Crossing has won a 2023 IIDA New England Design Award! 

Celebrating its 16th year, the IIDA Design Awards honor outstanding designs by firms across New England and celebrate spaces that connect people and place to create high performance communities that foster diversity, enhance the human experience, and establish better environments. This fall, Park 151 was selected from a number of impressive submissions as the 2023 awardee for Best in Residential Multi-Unit Design. The design team was recognized at the annual IIDA New England Awards celebration, held at the SoWa Power Station in Boston’s historic South End. 

Park 151 is a new 20-story, 468-unit residential building at the apex of the 42-acre Cambridge Crossing neighborhood. The design charge for Park 151 was to create a distinct multifamily residence that would express the life science and innovation community surrounding it, in a deliberate extension of “the most innovative square mile on the planet.” 

The result is an authentic, intellectual, and creative expression of the energy that infuses Cambridge, Massachusetts, marked by original art, sculpture, and unexpected design solutions. Bold yet approachable interiors filled with rich colors and expressive textures immerse residents in a dynamic urban gallery, a dichroic glass entry illuminates the street with a colorful display, laser-cut metals throughout recall machine technology, while dark metal frames parallel architectural design elements. Innovative, artful, and beautiful, the design of Park 151 introduces a residential experience like no other.
