CBT Wins Three IIDA NE Interior Design Awards

CBT was proud to receive three top awards from the New England chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA NE) at its annual Interior Design Awards Gala on February 11, 2016. CBT's interior design for the Sofitel Washington DC received the Best in Hospitality Hotel Award and was voted the People’s Choice Award winner. CBT's interior design for Hilton Mystic Hotel/The IRONS also won, receiving the Best in Hospitality Restaurant Award.

The Sofitel Washington D.C. is a landmark building with strong Art Deco features. The brand and the owners hired CBT to create a new design for the hotel’s 237 rooms and suites, meeting rooms, library, and lobby. The interior design renovation for the Sofitel Washington DC included the lobby, ballroom, prefunction, 237 guestrooms with 16 suites, guestroom corridors, library, and meeting rooms The design concept takes inspiration from the vintage fashions of Paris and Washington DC, combining and celebrating both cultures’ styles to create a magnificent design.

Set on the historic waterfront of Mystic, CT, the design for the IRONS at the Hilton Mystic Hotel is infused with authentic elements that evoke its unique location, creating an urban retreat that reflects the city’s iconic past and entrepreneurial present. The recently completed full design update includes 183 new guest rooms, breathtaking new ballrooms and meeting spaces, along with a completely reconfigured courtyard, lounge and the award-winning IRONS restaurant.
