CBT is working in collaboration with Danish design firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen on the revitalization of the Seaport World Trade Center on Boston’s famed Commonwealth Pier. The multi-year project will transform and rejuvenate the 705,000-square-foot building and pier with new amenities for greater public access to the waterfront, vibrant retail offerings, first-class event spaces, and a unique and flexible workplace for employees of Fidelity Investments, who will occupy 100% of the revitalized office space.
Through significant infrastructure improvements, the project will enhance the World Trade Center’s current use by replacing the existing Commonwealth Hall with more accessible and relevant public amenities along the waterfront. When complete, the project will provide approximately 163,500 square feet of vibrant new outdoor space. Construction began late 2020, with full occupancy expected by 2024.
