CBT Study No. 4: Rethinking Planning & Space Use on Campus
This fourth piece in the CBT Studies series is an examination of how traditional campus planning principles are now posing some significant challenges to today’s evolving institutions. From building size and design, to campus access roads and the need for new types of learning spaces, schools are finding that new and creative solutions are critical to keeping pace with a changing world. In this study, we discuss a number of common challenges faced by legacy campuses today; and visit three projects where CBT helped forge valuable, yet unexpected, new spaces where there was unrealized potential on the existing campus.
