Curry College-Science and Integrated Learning Commons

Offering a state-of-the-art space featuring new classrooms, labs, offices, and 24/7 group study spaces, the 36,000-square-foot Science and Integrated Learning Commons has been thoughtfully designed to encourage collaborative, multidisciplinary learning by engaging students and professors in an educational environment that extends seamlessly beyond formal classes.

The SILC houses the Academic Enrichment Center, which includes the Writing Center and Peer & Professional Tutoring, in addition to the Academic Success Office, the Advising Office, the Offices of Disability Services, the Assistive Technology Lab, the Speaking Center, and the Study Abroad Office. A new Quantitative Commons supports curricular and co-curricular programing in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative reasoning.

Newly-constructed laboratories provide hands-on learning and research experience, providing benefits and opportunities for all students, but particularly those studying Biology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Community Health & Wellness, and Public Health & Wellness. These laboratories allow Curry College to consider adding additional STEM programs, and create further lab-based opportunities for existing majors.
