Mary Ellen McCormack Community Open House

Organized and hosted by residents, MEM Task Force, BHA, and WinnCompanies, the Mary Ellen McCormack community open house celebration held on August 13 provided opportunity for residents to learn about the upcoming redevelopment and community plans while enjoying a fun night of music, food, games, and socializing.

Intended to educate and involve community members of all ages, the event also included distribution of backpacks filled with  school supplies as well as a custom Mary Ellen McCormack coloring book designed to engage children with the new vision for the redevelopment.

The Mary Ellen McCormack redevelopment and master plan will transform one of the oldest public housing projects in New England into an inclusive neighborhood, creating meaningful new connections which will better serve residents and the community.
